Blue Peter invited me as a member of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee to meet the children who won the Earthshot Prize at Speaker’s House in Parliament.
These children had the most inventive ideas to protect our environment and, after they received a certificate from Prince William, we were lucky enough to hear their ideas first-hand.
Looking after our planet is really important, so it was great to hear that the next generation care so deeply. I got my own Blue Peter badge too, as well as confirmation that all the best ideas really do come from Yorkshire!
