Market Weighton's 80th Anniversary of VE Day Celebrations

Delighted to join the Mayor of Market Weighton, Cllr Diane Peaks, at the town’s VE Day celebrations this afternoon and present her with an auction prize for this year’s Giant Bradley Day fundraiser.

While today is rightly a celebration, let us remember all those who contributed to the war effort between 1939-1945 and thank them for their service and their sacrifice. Lest we forget.
